Frequently asked questions
What is Krayso?
- A workflow re-engineering company with a platform underneath it. Krayso redesigns the processes that run a business — deciding what should be automated, what needs AI, and what needs a person — then runs the redesigned workflow on the Krayso platform.
How does Krayso work?
- Krayso's people work with a client's own process owners to re-engineer a workflow, build it into production, and run it alongside the client while proving the result. The client's team takes over running it; the platform keeps orchestrating it, measuring it, and keeping it current.
What makes Krayso different?
- Krayso combines two things most competitors only offer one of: hands-on re-engineering work with the people who actually run a process, and a persistent software platform that keeps running the result afterward. A tool gives you software and leaves you to work out how to use it. A consultancy redesigns the process and leaves. Krayso does both, together, and stays.

What does Krayso do?
- Krayso re-engineers business workflows — combining automation, AI, and people — and runs the result on the Krayso platform. It works one workflow at a time: audit, build, operate, then the client's team takes over running it.
How does Krayso help companies adopt AI?
- By starting with a specific business process, not a general AI rollout. Krayso maps how the work actually happens, decides which parts of it should be automated, which need AI, and which need a person, then builds that into production — rather than deploying an AI tool and leaving the business to work out where to use it.
What is AI workflow re-engineering?
- Redesigning how a business process works — deciding step by step whether each part should be handled by automation (fixed rules), AI (judgement calls like drafting or scoring), or a person (decisions, relationships, exceptions) — rather than adding an AI tool on top of a process that hasn't changed.
What is an AI agent?
- In Krayso's usage, an agent is a defined job with a clear start and end — for example, resolving a support ticket or chasing an overdue invoice. Inside that job, steps are carried out by automation, AI, or a person, depending on what each step actually needs.
What's the difference between AI and automation?
- Automation follows fixed, deterministic rules — moving data, creating records, routing by a condition. AI makes judgement calls — drafting, scoring, matching, deciding what to do next. Krayso uses automation wherever a step is purely rule-based, because it's cheaper and more reliable than AI for that kind of work, and reserves AI for steps that genuinely need interpretation.
Why does Krayso include people in workflows?
- Because some parts of a workflow are decisions, relationships, or exceptions that shouldn't be automated — and because Krayso's position is that AI should create capacity for people to do that work, not replace them. Every workflow Krayso builds keeps a named person accountable for it.
Does Krayso need to understand our industry?
- No. Krayso's process owners — the client's own people — already understand the exceptions, dependencies, and judgement calls in their workflow. Krayso brings the re-engineering method: knowing what to automate, where AI helps, and where a person needs to stay in control. The two are combined, not substituted for each other.
How does Krayso work with our process owners?
- Krayso's forward deployed engineers work directly with the people who run a workflow day to day, not just with executives. The process owners are the source of how the work actually happens — not a sign-off at the end of someone else's analysis.
How does the Krayso platform work?
- The platform runs the redesigned workflow: assigning work across agents, automation, and people, holding state, managing queues, handling permissions and approvals, logging every action, and routing each step to the appropriate AI model. It's accessed through Mission Control.
What is Mission Control?
- The interface Krayso's platform runs through. Everyone in a client's business who touches a workflow works through Mission Control — what each person sees depends on their role: a team member sees their own queue, an approver sees what needs sign-off, an admin sees cost and performance across every workflow.
How does Krayso measure ROI?
- Every workflow is measured against a baseline agreed before the work starts — what it costs, how long it takes, and how often it breaks today. Results are reported against that baseline, not against a generic industry benchmark.
Can Krayso work with our existing systems?
- Yes. Krayso builds around whatever a business already runs — CRM, finance systems, its own databases, and anything else in place — rather than replacing it.
Can Krayso be self-hosted?
- Yes. The platform can run in the cloud, self-hosted, or fully air-gapped, depending on a client's security requirements.
Can we build this ourselves?
- Technically, yes — Krayso and a general-purpose AI assistant run on the same underlying models. What's missing in a DIY build is usually the surrounding structure: a queue, a named owner for each workflow, something that persists past a single session, and a baseline to prove a saving against. Most DIY AI builds also default to the most expensive available model rather than routing each step to the cheapest one that can do the job.
How much does Krayso cost?
- Krayso doesn't publish generic pricing, because cost depends on how many workflows are involved and how complex each one is — figures that aren't known until after an audit. The commercial structure is three parts: a fixed-fee audit of one workflow, a one-off build fee priced by complexity, and an ongoing platform fee per live workflow. Clients can walk away roughly 90 days after go-live, before committing to a longer term.
